From USARD Member, Ron Church:

Greetings all,

Thought you might like to see this.

A month or so ago a group I play with (Monumental City Fife & Drum) participated in the halftime for the Maryland v West Virginia game.  In the video our group comes across the field on the 50 yd line opening the show.  Both bands were on the field at the same time, it was quite an extravaganza.  The UM band forms a British warship on the left as the WV band forms Ft. McHenry on the right.  They play a variety of patriotic music as the announcer explains the events during the battle of Ft. McHenry.  Monumental City comes back on the field briefly to play Yankee Doodle as the American flag opens in the Fort signifying that the Americans did not surrender.

It was quite an experience to be part that show.

Best regards,

Ron
